Accreditation

We are one of the UK’s leading plumbing and heating firms – and we’ve got the accreditation to prove it. Here’s a look at some of the professional bodies that have endorsed the consistency and quality of our work:

ndRHI – Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Accreditation

Barkwell Plumbing and Heating has become the first recipient of a non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive for a Daikin Altherma Flex Type air-to-water heat pump – one of the first such systems in the UK to gain ndRHI accreditation. We installed the Daikin system to provide the 53kW of heat needed for the radiators and domestic hot water in our new headquarters, a modern two storey building of 1,200 sq m.

CSCS – Construction Skills Certification Scheme

All our technicians carry CSCS cards, meaning that they have achieved an NVQ or SVQ level 3 or completed an approved indentured apprenticeship. To achieve the card they also have to pass a rigorous Health & Safety test to demonstrate their knowledge across a range of H&S concerns, and in order to improve safety and productivity.

Water Board

We are a Water Board-approved contractor – which means that we have reached and maintained consistently high standards in terms of performance, quality and service.

Gas Safe

We’re Gas Safe registered. Gas Safe has taken over from CORGI as the new benchmark of expertise, and is the official stamp for gas safety on the UK.

OFTEC

We’re also registered with OFTEC, the Oil Firing Technical Association, which was set up to identify technicians that install and service which oil-fired appliances with a greater degree of technical expertise and efficiency.

MCS

We’ve been accredited by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme, an internationally recognised quality assurance system that demonstrates our commitment to meeting rigorous and tested standards in the installation of renewable energy systems.
